DAY 1:
Arrive at Atlantis Marina. Spend the day exploring the acres upon acres of aquariums and water activities that the Atlantis offers. In the evening, shop and dine at the newly opened Marina Village with many excellent choices for cuisine. For those that want to try their luck, gambling is plentiful at the Atlantis Casino.
DAY 2:
Travel to Harbour Island. The ride to Harbour Island takes you through Spanish Wells and the famous Devil’s Back Bone which covers the northeastern tip of Eleuthera. This treacherous stretch of coral heads makes for an exciting entry into Harbour Island. Once you have arrived, you will soon realize why Harbour Island was ranked "The Best Island in the Caribbean" by Travel & Leisure magazine in 2005. Briland, as it is known to residents, is approximately 3.5 miles long by 1.5 miles wide. Once the capital of the Bahamas and the second largest city to Nassau in the 1900s, the current population is estimated between 1500 to 2000.
DAY 3:
Stay in Harbour Island. There is just too much to do here. The islands main mode of transportation are golf carts, so exploring is a must! The island’s enduring popularity is founded on its tropical greenery stretching out to meet the warm, pink-hued sand beaches it is famous for. Its resorts and the warm Briland hospitality housed in the quaint New England architecture of the island’s Loyalist history add to nature’s palette. Rows of century-old trees border narrow flower-lined streets. It’s a sight not to be missed. For those that are bone-fishing enthusiasts, there are miles of ‘flats’ waiting to be explored. Recommendations for dinner include the Coral Sands and the Rockhouse, two of our favorites!
DAY 4:
Travel to the Exumas, Staniel Cay. The Exumas are an archipelago of 365 cays and islands, beginning just 35 miles southeast of Nassau and stretching over 100 miles. From the air, these cays look like jeweled stepping stones surrounded by a shimmering emerald sea giving this chain the distinction of being one of the prettiest in The Islands of The Bahamas. The bright white sand of the deserted beaches is a striking contrast to the aquamarine and jade hues of water. The topography doesn't vary much, as the islands are only 7½ miles across at the widest point, but the splendor of the pristine beaches, the crystal-blue waters and the lush tropical greenery attract people from around the globe. You will simply be amazed by the seemingly endless number of Cays as you make your way to Staniel.
DAY 5:
Stay in Staniel. Staniel Cay is quite simply a paradise. Water activities are a must, and members of our program receive complimentary access to our 25’ Donzi, perfect for exploring all the Cays, beaches, and for fishing! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to snorkel Thunderball Grotto, a breathtaking hollowed out island just a stones throw from Staniel. Teaming with tropical fish, rare sponges and corals, this setting was used for scenes from James Bond's "Thunderball" and "Never Say Never Again" as well as Disney's "Splash". In the afternoon, our guide will take you to a couple of our favorite reefs where we will spear some dinner. What’s for dinner you may ask, how about fresh lobster, grouper, snapper and conch salad!
DAY 6:
Stay in Staniel. Today you take the Donzi to a few more Cays. First stop today is Big Major, just around the corner from Staniel. Here you will be amazed that the only inhabitants of this island are pigs. Yes, that is correct. Be careful on your approach as they will literally climb into the boat. Another favorite spot to visit is Compass Cay, where you may swim with the sharks right off the dock. Yes, you read that correctly, simply an amazing experience. We’ll finish off the day with more fishing, and grill our catch on the many deserted islands available, just pick one.
DAY 7:
